Our Team

Crystal Bennett serves as Vice President of Human Resources at Hope Utilities, bringing more than 20 years of human resources experience and a genuine passion for helping people succeed. Throughout her career, she has embraced an employee-centric approach to leadership, believing that employees are the heart of every organization and the driving force behind its success. With experience across multiple areas of human resources and a specialization in employee and labor relations, Crystal is dedicated to building relationships founded on trust, respect, and open communication.

Since joining Hope Utilities in 2024, Crystal has partnered closely with leaders and employees to support organizational growth, navigate change, and strengthen labor-management relationships. Her approach centers on listening, understanding different perspectives, and finding solutions that support both employees and the organization.

Before joining Hope Utilities, Crystal held human resources roles with Mylan Pharmaceuticals and WVU Medicine, where she gained valuable experience working in complex and diverse environments, as well as the opportunity to partner with different labor unions.  These experiences reinforced her belief that when employees feel respected, supported, and valued, organizations are better positioned to achieve their goals and serve their customers and communities. 

Crystal's passion for human resources extends beyond policies and processes. She is energized by developing others, supporting employees through challenges and opportunities, and helping create workplace cultures where people can thrive both personally and professionally. She believes that strong relationships, empathy, and authenticity are at the core of effective leadership.

She holds multiple degrees, including a bachelor's degree in Business with a concentration in Human Resources from University of Phoenix.

Crystal resides in Morgantown, WV and enjoys spending time with her family.
