Blue’s Top Safety Tips
1. Smell Something Stinky? Tell a Grown-up!
If you smell something like rotten eggs, it could be a gas leak! Leave the house right away and tell a grown-up to call 911 and Hope Gas.
2. No Flames, No Phones!
If there might be a gas leak, don’t use matches, lighters, or even a phone inside. That could be dangerous.
3. Let’s Dig Smart, Not Hard
Before you dig in the yard—even for treasure!—a grown-up needs to call 811 to make sure it’s safe.
4. Don’t Touch Pipes or Meters
Outside gas meters and pipes aren’t toys! Don’t sit on them, lean on them, or cover them up with anything.
5. Keep it Clear and Clean
Make sure nothing blocks vents, gas heaters, or appliances at home. Keeping them clear helps them work safely.
