Hope for Our Next Generation of Mountaineers
Hope Gas is committed to West Virginia’s rich heritage and bright future. To realize that vision, we are investing in the Mountaineers of tomorrow who will maintain our bedrocks of faith, family, and integrity while innovating for the future.
That’s why we started “Keep Our Kids in West Virginia,” a core offering to ensure they have opportunities to achieve their fullest educational, career, and life potential right here in the Mountain State. The program offers internship and mentorship opportunities at Hope Gas, allowing students to explore the wide range of careers available in the natural gas industry. This exposure enables them to decide whether to attend college, begin technical school, or enter the workforce directly from high school. It’s a roadmap for success right here in their home state.

Educational and Business Partnerships
Our first foray was to partner with the statewide nonprofit Education Alliance to establish the Hope for the Future: WV School/Business Partnership of the Year Awards Program.
Through this program, Hope Gas supports the opportunities Education Alliance provides for West Virginia schools and businesses to partner in offering unique learning opportunities. These partnerships span categories from expanding academic prowess to career exploration to mentoring programs. The award is given to eight regional partnerships, each earning a $2,000 Celebration Grant, with one statewide winner receiving an award package valued at $25,000.
Hope Gas also provides internship opportunities to high school and college students. We partner with Education Alliance and Monongalia County Technical Education Center to provide paid summer internships for high school students, and students from colleges and universities across the state can also apply. Internships are available across multiple disciplines such as engineering, human resources, accounting, finance, communications, and marketing.
