Matthew Eggerding
Senior Vice President and General Counsel
As Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Hope Gas, Matt Eggerding has nearly two decades of energy industry experience steering major energy infrastructure projects and operating assets through complex legal landscapes.
Prior to joining Hope Gas, he served as Deputy General Counsel at Equitrans Midstream Corporation and EQT Corporation where he led legal and regulatory strategies resulting in favorable rulings from agencies and appellate courts and over $9 billion in critical infrastructure investments. Matt also provided leadership in corporate governance, government affairs, and on transactional, commercial, policy, and compliance matters. Earlier in his career, he was an attorney in the Washington, D.C. office of a major international law firm, counseling natural gas and oil/liquids pipelines, LNG facilities, and electric generators on commercial and regulatory matters. In addition to his law degree, Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Clemson University.
Matt and his family live in Pennsylvania, where he volunteers as a coach for his sons’ sports teams.
