Our Team

Nicole Herbert is the Controller at Hope Gas and Hope Utilities, with a background in gas utility accounting. She has over 16 years of experience from Bangor Natural Gas and served as their Controller for the last 11 years of her time there. Her extensive career at a small gas company provided her with a well-rounded skill set encompassing accounts payable, inventory management, and fixed asset reporting. Throughout the years Nicole has expanded her expertise to include managing financial reports, ensuring regulatory compliance, leading budgeting and financial planning processes, and overseeing construction project coordination. 

 

Nicole holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Maine and a Master of Business Administration from Husson University. She is originally from Utah, where she discovered her passion for skiing and snowboarding. In 2004 she moved to Maine for college, and in 2024 she packed up and relocated with her husband, two kids, two dogs, and a bearded dragon to Morgantown, West Virginia, which she now calls home.
