Mylan Park Announces Hope Gas Ice Pavilion as Official Name of Region’s Premier Ice Facility
MORGANTOWN, WV – September 8, 2025
Mylan Park Foundation is proud to announce that its newest facility, the 48,000-square-foot ice arena that officially opened on September 2, will be officially named the Hope Gas Ice Pavilion at Mylan Park. This partnership reflects Hope Gas’s commitment to supporting community recreation, athletics, and regional growth across North Central West Virginia.
The Hope Gas Ice Pavilion at Mylan Park is the region’s premier public ice venue, designed to serve both competitive athletes and families seeking recreational opportunities. As the home ice for West Virginia University Hockey and the Morgantown Hockey Association, the facility also provides public skating sessions, learn-to-skate programs, family-friendly events, and rental opportunities for tournaments, schools, and community groups.
Key Features of the Ice Pavilion include:
- Full-size NHL ice surface
- Seating for 1,200 spectators, including handicapped accessible seating
- Dedicated team locker rooms and training facilities for leagues and clubs
- Public skating sessions, learn-to-skate programs, and family-friendly events
