Hope Gas is building a stronger West Virginia economy by prioritizing local businesses and local talent in all we do.
With our West Virginia roots, we know that investing in the growth of our region and its hardworking people brings dividends to all of us. West Virginia’s workforce has the lowest turnover rates in manufacturing and energy sectors nationwide, and it’s the backbone of our economic growth.
That’s why we built our headquarters in Morgantown, which created 100 new family-sustaining jobs. And we did it with hometown union labor, the proud members of the United Gas Workers Union Local 69, UWUA AFL–CIO.
We also built Hope with the knowledge that family extends beyond our company walls, so we are committed to actively partnering with our neighbors to serve as our vendors and suppliers. Buying local lifts us all up together. We’re always looking for new suppliers who share our values and our dedication to building a stronger West Virginia.
We tapped the local well again to create 600 jobs and build our Morgantown Connector Project, a $177 million 30-mile pipeline to increase the natural gas supply in the region. We hired Nitro-based Apex and Charleston-based Ace Pipeline because these Mountain State companies know how to handle this terrain best.
This region is primed for growth and so is Hope Gas. We are continually investing in our workforce. We’ll soon have the first-of-its-kind training facility in Clarksburg. The Edward M. Smith National Career and Life Skills Development Center will offer hands-on learning and real-world safety training to prepare the next generation of energy professionals. Beyond training our workforce, the facility is a shared resource for schools and businesses, fostering career pathways, supporting public safety, and shaping the state’s energy future.
